This assemblage charts the artist’s estimated biological clock, meditating on the predicament of the 21st-century female body. By considering each ovulation as a finite unit of time on nature’s terms, the work lays bare a woman’s biological reality.
Through the unexpected pairing of gauze and makeup sponges, the work probes the tensions that define modern femininity: nature’s design versus cultural demands, primal instinct versus calculated data, and the delicate balance between personal aspiration and external expectation.
